Peter Orr is a journalist who loves the field work. When he hears about a strange theft from an ordinary school kid, he convinces his boss to give permission for a thorough examination. The laptop and bicycle of Jan Bodems were stolen on the same day on two different locations and by two different men. Coincidence or not? Peter is determined to find an explanation. He interviews everybody who could know a thing and discovers something strange...

Besides the story there is lots of other stuff to discover in the book. I reveal just one. Peter likes to cook. During the preparation his wife doesn't disturb him and it's quiet so he has time to think over all the news of the day. Besides these thoughts I give a detailed description of how he cooks his meals. I try to give enough detail to the reader to be able to make the dishes himself. Recipes in novel style.
